FOOTSCRAY, VIC. — Two men have been charged after an alleged burglary at a school in Footscray early this morning.

Officers responded to reports of a burglary at the Barkly Street campus about 12.20am.

Footscray police, with the assistance of a canine (K9) unit arrived swiftly at the location.

Officers discovered a door jammed open and damaged.

A quick search of the school resulted in two men being located in a building, one of which allegedly in possession of a computer screen and a speaker.

Police arrested the two men.

A 46-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, both from Footscray, have been charged with burglary.

The two men are bailed to appear before the Sunshine Magistrate’s Court on February 9, 2026.
