YARRAVILLE, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives today charged a man following the death of a man in Footscray on Sunday evening.
A man was located with serious injuries behind a licenced premises on Nicholson Street, near Irvine Street, about 7.45pm on Sunday, June 7.
Emergency services worked on the 25-year-old South Yarra man, but he died at the scene.
Police arrested a 37-year-old Williamston man without incident at Yarraville Railway Station about 8.30pm yesterday.
The alleged offender has been charged with murder and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
Investigators believe the parties were known to one another.
