Homicide Squad detectives today charged a man following a critical injury assault in Footscray yesterday.
The 43-year-old Yarraville man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury.
The charges follow an assault at the intersection of Nicholson and Paisley streets on Sunday, June 15 about 10am.
A 62-year-old Footscray man was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
The Yarraville man was remanded in custody.
He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
