MELTON WEST, VIC. — Brimbank Divisional Response Unit detectives have charged a man following a stabbing in Melton West last night.
Two men attended an Ambulance Victoria Station on McKenzie Street, Melton, with stab wounds about 11.50pm.
Police will allege the men were involved in an altercation at a car park on Barries Road, Melton West, with another male.
The two victims were dropped off at the McKenzie Street station by an associate.
A 20-year-old man from Kurunjang was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in a serious condition.
A 20-year-old man from Melton West was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where in remains in a stable condition.
A 22-year-old Melton South man self-presented to a police station this morning.
He has been charged with two counts of intentionally causing serious injury (gross violence) and two counts of intentionally causing serious injury.
He will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later today or this evening.
Detectives allege the parties are known to one another, and believe the incident was targeted.
