KEILOR DOWNS, VIC. — Fawkner Divisional Response Unit officers yesterday charged two men after shots were fired at a café in Essendon North on Friday morning.
Police will allege they witnessed multiple shots being fired into a café on Mount Alexander Road about 2.45am on Friday, July 10.
An allegedly stolen Toyota Kluger was then observed leaving the scene.
Air Wing followed the vehicle through Keilor and into Taylors Lakes, where it was located parked on Mahon Court.
The occupants went into a property on Old Calder Highway.
Officers from the Critical Incident Response Team arrested two men without incident.
Two Keilor Downs men, aged 18 and 20, were charged this morning with numerous offences, including discharging a firearm in a public place, criminal damage and theft of a motor vehicle.
They appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday afternoon.
The Toyota was stolen in Macleod on May 15.
