FRANKSTON, VIC. — With the assistance of Victoria Police’s State Command Control Centre (SCCC), Southern Metro Crime Squad charged two alleged offenders following two armed robberies in Melbourne’s southern suburbs yesterday.

Police have alleged two males approached a victim seated at a bus stop on Young Street, Frankston about 9.50am.

The two males allegedly pulled up to the bus stop in a stolen Toyota, showed the victim a knife and made demands for the teenage boys’ puffer jacket.

The boy handed over his puffer, and the alleged offenders took off in the car.

The victim was not physically injured.

It is alleged that the same males, still travelling in the Toyota, pulled up to a bus stop on High Street, Cranbourne, a short time later.

The two males allegedly got out of the car, wearing ski masks and one holding a knife, before approaching two teens.

Police allege the males made demands for the victims’ shoes and clothing.

Both the victims complied with the alleged demands and handed over their belongings.

It is alleged that a third occupant seated in the back seat of the Toyota told the two males to also demand one of the victim’s jumpers.

The victim complied and handed over their jumper.

The Toyota allegedly took off from the scene with all three occupants.

The victims were not physically injured.

Officers spotted the Toyota travelling through Cranbourne about 11am.

The Toyota pulled into a nearby shopping centre carpark.

Detectives, highway patrol officers and uniform police members descended on the area, arrested three male teens nearby, alleged to be the Toyota’s occupants.

The Toyota was recovered.

A 13-year-old boy was interviewed by detectives and released pending further investigation.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with three counts of armed Robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with three counts of armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
