MOUNT WAVERLEY, VIC. — Nunawading Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Mount Waverley last night.

MOUNT WAVERLEY, VIC. — Nunawading Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Mount Waverley last night.

A vehicle was travelling along Stephensons Road, near Griffiths Court, when it struck the male pedestrian on the roadway about 9.20pm.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the unidentified man died at the scene.

The male driver and female passenger of the vehicle were not injured and stopped to speak to the police.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established.

An investigation is ongoing.
