Police investigate gym fire

SOUTH MELBOURNE, VIC. — Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in South Melbourne this morning.

SOUTH MELBOURNE, VIC. — Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in South Melbourne this morning.

Investigators believe a white vehicle rammed the rolled door of the Rare Breed Gym at 139 Montague Street about 3.50am.

No one was inside the building at the time of the incident.

Police were told the offender/s lit a fire inside, then fled in the vehicle.

No arrests have been made.

Investigations are ongoing.
