HOPPERS CROSSING, VIC. — Westgate Divisional Response Unit officers are investigating a home invasion in Hoppers Crossing, where several unknown offenders forced their way into an address on Mailrun Court at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, July 29.
The offenders, who were armed with machetes, entered a bedroom where two victims were asleep.
One of the offenders assaulted one of the 30-year-old victims, punching him in the head several times while making demands for money.
The man was not seriously injured.
The group stole two mobile phones and damaged a car parked in the property’s driveway before fleeing the scene in a dark-coloured sedan.
It is believed the same offenders attended the Mailrun Court address on Tuesday, July 28 at about 12.55pm.
In this instance, the offenders knocked on the door of the property but did not attempt to enter.
The offenders then left in the same dark-coloured sedan.
An investigation remains ongoing.
