ASHWOOD, VIC. — Police were tracking an allegedly stolen Mercedes-Benz SUV, which was located on Gubbah Court at about 2.15am after a police officer was allegedly struck when the vehicle drove out of the court and struck the police officer on Friday, September 19.
The vehicle fled the scene and was located nearby after it struck a fence at the corner of Jordan Street and Salisbury Road.
With the assistance of the Police Air Wing, three offenders were located nearby and arrested.
The officer was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen in a home invasion in Cranbourne East about 30 minutes before the incident.
The offenders remain in custody and will be interviewed by detectives today.
Police are continuing to search for two outstanding offenders.
An investigation remains ongoing.
