A motorcyclist is without his bike and will face a Magistrate following being intercepted by motorcycle police in Keilor Park yesterday.

Officers from the State Highway Patrol’s Solo Unit detected the Suzuki motorcycle travelling at 130km/h in the 80km/h zone along the Calder Freeway, about 1.20pm.

Officers intercepted the rider and interviewed him for several traffic offences, including exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more.

The 32-year-old Keilor Downs man had his motorcycle impounded for 30 days for $1014.90.

He is expected to be charged on summons to appear at a magistrate’s court at a later date.
