NARRE WARREN SOUTH, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives have today charged two men with murder as part of their investigation into a fatal assault in Narre Warren South in June.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man being assaulted at Strathaird Reserve about 3.15pm on Friday, June 12.
A 63-year-old Clyde North man was transported to hospital with critical injuries, where he died on Thursday, June 18.
Two men, a 21-year-old man of no fixed place of address and a 22-year-old Narre Warren South man, were charged on June 15 and 13, respectively, with recklessly causing serious injury.
Those charges have today been upgraded to murder.
The duo were remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, July 8.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
