KILSYTH, VIC. — At 12.34pm yesterday, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters, supported by CFA, responded to an incident on Pleasant Street, Kilsyth, after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.
The response was escalated to a second alarm as firefighters arrived on scene in less than five minutes to find a single-storey house alight with a large amount of smoke.
Firefighters worked quickly to attack the fire and search the premises.
The power and gas supplies were isolated.
The incident was deemed under control at 1pm.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and checked for fire extension by using thermal imaging cameras.
Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police also attended.
