SOUTH KINGSVILLE, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters responded to multiple calls to Triple Zero for a building fire in South Kingsville shortly after midday on Tuesday, July 28.
Crews arrived to find a single-storey weatherboard home fully alight.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the burning home to search to ensure no persons were inside. Due to the intensity of the fire, FRV crews were unable to confirm the building was unoccupied.
Firefighters attacked the fire with multiple hoselines, whilst also protecting homes on either side from fire spread.
Firefighting operations were hampered by a lack of available water and live powerlines across the road.
The house has been destroyed in the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
