Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Caroline Springs between Sunday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 17.

Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Caroline Springs between Sunday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 17.

Police understand an unknown offender gained access to a residence Renfrey Gardens, Caroline Springs.

The unoccupied property was undergoing renovations.

Several personal items were stolen, including three distinctive medals:

– The Order of Australia (2019);

– The Winston Churchill Fellowship medal;

– Meritorious Medal for Services to the Victorian Community.

The medals, which the victim was awarded for over 30 years of advocacy within the African community, are distinctive in appearance and have the 55-year-old victim’s name engraved.
