Police are on the hunt for the only Victorian who may actually want Santa to bring underpants on Christmas Day.
Emergency services responded to reports of a fire out the front of a fast-food business, on Doncaster Road in Doncaster East, at about 3am this morning.
Investigators believe a small fire was deliberately lit at the premises, causing automatic fire sprinklers to activate.
Burnt underpants were found nearby.
The fire was quickly extinguished, leaving a small burn mark on the footpath.
It appears the culprit may have set themselves alight, given that singed shoes, pants and jocks were located at the scene.
Despite a thorough search of the area, the semi-naked offender was not located.
The investigation remains ongoing.
