Recidivist offender targets bottleshop

North Melbourne police are appealing for public assistance after several thefts from a Canning Street liquor store.

North Melbourne police are appealing for public assistance after several thefts from a Canning Street liquor store.

Investigators have been told that a man has entered the bottleshop on over 31 separate occasions and has stolen alcohol.

The thefts have occurred between February 24, 2024 and February 25, 2025 and are valued at over $3,000.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian, approximately 175-185 centimetres tall with a thin build and short dark hair.
