Ripped out the ATM. Not strong enough to lift it onto Hilux

Detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary at a licensed premises in Craigieburn on Sunday, July 13.

Hume Crime Investigation Unit investigators have been told three men attended the Highlands Hotel on Grand Boulevard about 7.30am in a silver Toyota Hilux.

One of the men got out of the Hilux and gained access to the building by smashing a window with a chain.

He was joined by a second man as the pair secured the chain to an automatic teller machine.

The ATM was pulled outside whilst a third man joined the other two as the group attempted to lift the ATM into the Hilux.

They were unsuccessful and ended up leaving the ATM in the carpark before driving off.
