Woman charged after pursuit and crash

SEAFORD, VIC. — Frankston police have charged a 25-year-old Frankston North woman following a pursuit and crash on Thursday morning.

SEAFORD, VIC. — Frankston police have charged a 25-year-old Frankston North woman following a pursuit and crash on Thursday morning.

Police will allege the 25-year-old Frankston North woman was the driver of an Audi, displaying cloned plates and driving erratically at about 3am.

The vehicle allegedly attempted to ram a police vehicle, forcing the officers to take evasive action.

A short time later, the vehicle crashed into a pole and caught fire.

The Frankston North woman has been charged with a range of offences including dangerous driving whilst being pursued by police, two counts of reckless exposure of police officers to risk by driving, failing to stop on police direction and unlicensed driving.

The passengers, a 31-year-old man also from Frankston North and a 32-year-old man from Carrum Downs, were released pending further enquiries.

An investigation remains ongoing.
