YEA, VIC. — After a week of no golf due to the wet conditions, it was good to see Yea Golf Club competitions return this past week.

Saturday’s Monthly Medal at Royal Yea Golf Club attracted just 11 players, while Wednesday’s smaller field contested a Stroke and Putting event.

On Wednesday, Bob Glenister (10) continued his good form to win with an excellent nett 68, finishing two shots clear of Luke Gregory (9) on nett 70. Luke did, however, take out the putting competition with just 24 putts. There was no winner for the NTP on the 11th, while Mick Sheather claimed the Club Award.

Saturday’s Monthly Medal saw Anthony La Grutta (14) take the honours with a nett 73. Jeff Aurisch (24) was runner-up on nett 74, with Jim Redmond (23) third on nett 75.

Once again, there was no winner for the NTP on the 11th, while Rob O’Halloran collected the Club Award.

In the Club Knockout, Peter Johnston defeated Rob O’Halloran to progress to the next round.
