BELMONT, VIC. — Police seized a significant quantity of illicit tobacco and nicotine products during two search warrants in Belmont and Mount Duneed yesterday.

Officers from Waurn Ponds executed a search warrant at a service station on Roslyn Road in Belmont as part of an ongoing investigation.

A warrant was also executed at a residential address in Mount Duneed, where a 38-year-old man was arrested.

During the warrants, police allegedly seized:

  • over 2,600 illicit vaping products;
  • 3,000 imported cigarettes;
  • over 12,700 nicotine pouches; and
  • more than $20,000 in cash.

The Mount Duneed man is expected to be charged on summons.

The ongoing investigation aims to target criminal activity across the Geelong area, including the illicit tobacco trade.
