Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating after a man was shot in Coolaroo yesterday afternoon.

It is understood that three people were standing near a green Holden Commodore outside a property on Pearson Crescent, Coolaroo, at about 4.10pm.

Police understand that a dark-coloured BMW turned from Kyabram Street into Pearson Crescent, where two offenders got out of the vehicle, then approached the victim, a 22-year-old Mickleham man, and fired several shots as he ran down a driveway towards a house and over a fence.
