MELBOURNE, VIC. — Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an assault in St Kilda last year which left a man in hospital with serious skull injuries.
A man was ordering food from inside a fast-food restaurant on St Kilda Road about 1.30am on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
A male offender approached and assaulted the victim, resulting in the altercation spilling out onto the footpath.
The offender struck the victim, causing him to fall backward and strike his head on a doorframe.
The 46-year-old Melbourne man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including skull and jaw fractures.
Detectives believe the offender fled the scene in a white sedan.
The man is Caucasian in appearance, with a medium build, a black goatee and was wearing a beige jumper, denim jeans and a black baggy hat at the time of the incident.
