BLACK ROCK, VIC. — At 2.24am, Friday, March 27, firefighters from Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Tulip Street, Black Rock, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Crews arrived on the scene within four minutes to find smoke and flames issuing. The response was escalated to a second alarm.

Firefighters donned breathing apparatus (BA) and began attacking the fire and preventing the spread of fire to adjoining properties.

The fire destroyed the house, with major structural collapse.

The incident was deemed under control by 3.10am.

The fire has been deemed suspicious.

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives are appealing for public assistance as they investigate.
