KEILOR DOWNS, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria responded to a house fire in Keilor Downs just before 3 o’clock this morning following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).
Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire spreading through the roof of a brick veneer home, so the response was escalated to a second alarm.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus established hose lines, made access and conducted an internal attack.
Crews contained the blaze to the home, with the incident deemed under control at 3.22am.
Firefighters remained on scene for some time to ensure all hot spots were extinguished.
No one was home at the time.
The incident has been deemed suspicious and will be investigated by Victoria Police.
Police believe this fire is connected to a later fire in Taylors Lake.
