BALACLAVA, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters responded to multiple calls for a house fire in Balaclava on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived at the Glen Eira Avenue scene within six minutes at 3.45pm, to find a single-storey weatherboard house on fire.
Crews donned breathing apparatus and began attacking the fire and preventing it from spreading to adjoining properties.
A search of the property revealed that no occupants were home.
The fire was deemed under control at 4.25pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
It will be investigated by FRV specialists.
