HEIDELBERG HEIGHTS, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters responded to several calls about a shed on fire in Heidelberg Heights this morning.
Firefighters arrived on the Haig Street scene within four minutes to find a shed on fire, spreading to a nearby camper trailer and motorbikes and also threatening a house. The response was escalated.
FRV crews donned breathing apparatus (BA) and began attacking the fire as well as protecting the exposures. As the fire generated a lot of smoke, a community advice message was published for the public to avoid the area.
No occupants were home at the time of the fire.
The fire was declared under control at 11.21am.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The fire will be investigated by FRV specialists.
