Five arrested as part of Taskforce Echo drug trafficking investigation

MELBOURNE, VIC. — Detectives from Taskforce Echo yesterday arrested five people with links to the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking.

MELBOURNE, VIC. — Detectives from Taskforce Echo yesterday arrested five people with links to the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking.

With assistance from Fawkner Divisional Response Unit, warrants were executed on Thursday, June 4, at properties in Pascoe Vale, Cranbourne North and Berwick.

A 21-year-old Pascoe Vale man, two 21-year-old Coolaroo men and a 19-year-old Coolaroo man were arrested without incident in Coolaroo with assistance from the Special Operations Group.

A 23-year-old Cranbourne man was arrested at his property in Cranbourne.

All five were subsequently interviewed by police.

The Pascoe Vale man was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cocaine, trafficking a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine and being a prohibited person possessing a firearm.

The Cranbourne man was charged with trafficking cocaine and prohibited person possess firearm.

A Coolaroo man was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cocaine.

Two men were remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, with the third appearing at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.

The two other men were released without charge pending further enquiries.

Police also seized a range of items, including cocaine, cannabis and cash.

An investigation is ongoing.
