Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 20-year-old woman following an armed robbery in Hampton Park last month.

Investigators allege that a man and woman approached a group of 15-year-old boys as they were leaving a park on Bluff Road on Saturday, May 10 about 3.50pm.

The teens were carrying a football when it is alleged the woman produced a taser and made demands for the football.

Police allege the woman chased the boys, causing one to fall to the ground before stealing the football and fleeing the scene.

A 15-year-old Brighton boy sustained serious injuries.

Yesterday, detectives executed three search warrants in Hampton East, South Melbourne and Footscray, where they located and recovered the allegedly stolen football and taser.

A 20-year-old South Melbourne woman was arrested and charged with armed robbery and appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Investigations into the identity of the male co-offender remain ongoing.
