Kealba house fire

At 12:44pm yesterday, firefighters responded to an incident in Rowan Drive, Kealba, after multiple Triple Zero (000) callers reported that smoke and flames were issuing from a two-storey house.

At 12:44pm yesterday, firefighters responded to an incident in Rowan Drive, Kealba, after multiple Triple Zero (000) callers reported that smoke and flames were issuing from a two-storey house.

Additional firefighting appliances were dispatched by Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) in response.

FRV were quickly on scene to find the brick house fully involved in fire.

It took firefighters an hour to bring the fire under control.

The family home was extensively damaged by fire, and the local council building surveyor was requested to address the structural integrity of the property.

Another 3 houses located nearby were minimally impacted by the spread of fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
