Niddrie panel shop fire

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to an incident on Keilor Road in Niddrie just after 12.30pm on Tuesday, following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a fire at a panel shop.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to an incident on Keilor Road in Niddrie just after 12.30pm on Tuesday, following multiple calls to triple-zero (000) reporting a fire at a panel shop.

Firefighters arrived on the scene within 5 minutes to find a fire inside a collision repair centre involving both the spray booth and kiln.

Twenty-eight firefighters and nine appliances responded to the incident to battle the blaze.

Crews in Breathing Apparatus worked quickly to contain the fire and make the scene safe, bringing the incident under control by 1:12 p.m.
