Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Chadstone last night.
Firefighters were called to reports of the blaze at an address on Terrigal Street at 9.36pm.
Thirty firefighters attended the scene.
A woman and two children were evacuated from the residence.
All three were taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
The fire involved the upper floor bedrooms and ensuite, with the fire penetrating the roof, causing partial structural collapse. The remainder of the property has been smoke and water-damaged.
Crews brought the fire under control at 10.15pm.
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
A crime scene has been established, and an arson chemist and fire investigators will attend the scene later today.
An investigation is ongoing.
