A 34-year-old Keilor East man and a 27-year-old Berwick man have been charged following an alleged aggravated carjacking in Niddrie on Wednesday, January 15.
It is alleged a man parked his BMW sedan outside a property on Keilor Road when two men allegedly threatened him with a knife and demanded his car around 11:40am.
The pair got into the sedan and took off, leaving the 34-year-old Niddrie victim behind.
He was not injured.
The sedan then crashed into two cars at a supermarket carpark on Buckley Street in Aberfeldie about 12pm.
The BMW drove to a shopping centre carpark on High Street before the pair allegedly dumped the car and fled on foot.
Following a short foot pursuit, both men were arrested.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
