PRESTON, VIC. — Police are investigating a collision in Preston after emergency services were called to reports that two cars had collided at the intersection of Murray Road and Albert Street about 2.45am.

PRESTON, VIC. — Police are investigating a collision in Preston after emergency services were called to reports that two cars had collided at the intersection of Murray Road and Albert Street about 2.45am.

The driver of one of the vehicles, believed to be in his forties, was transported to hospital under police guard in a critical condition.

The passenger of that vehicle, a 28-year-old man, was transported to hospital under police guard with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 41-year-old woman, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established.

An investigation is ongoing.
