Hobsons Bay detectives are investigating gunshots allegedly fired in Mill Street, Altona North early this morning.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots heard in the vicinity of Mills Street at about 1:45am.
On arrival, police discovered multiple shots had been fired into the front door of a property on Mills Street.
Residents home at the time were not physically injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
