A 40-year-old Eltham man has been arrested following a siege and successful police negotiations in Napolean Street, Eltham overnight.
Police responded to reports of a man making threats towards another man on Napolean Street about 9pm.
Officers arrived and the man making threats refused to leave the property.
Police established no one else was inside the house with the man. The surrounding area was cordoned off.
After lengthy negotiations by officers on the scene, the man left the property peacefully around 12:30am.
The 40-year-old Eltham man was arrested and will be interviewed by police today.
No one was physically injured.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
