CRANBOURNE, VIC. — Detectives from the Casey Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident in which two teenagers were stabbed in Cranbourne last night.
Two male victims got out of a car on the corner of Banyalla Drive and Burgan Court about 7.25pm.
Detectives understand that they were chased along Burgan Court by two male offenders with machetes following a verbal altercation.
A 17-year-old boy sustained a stab wound and managed to run back to the vehicle, which continued a short distance to Camms Road.
Members of the public assisted him until emergency services arrived.
The other victim, a 15-year-old boy, was located with serious injuries further down Camms Road.
They were both taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The three crime scenes were processed by detectives.
Police are investigating whether the parties are known to each other.
No arrests have been made.
An investigation is ongoing.
