HOPPERS CROSSING, VIC. — Police have charged a man after weapons were located in a vehicle in Hoppers Crossing yesterday afternoon.
Police will allege there was an altercation between a group of people at a shopping centre on Heaths Road about 4.45pm.
Officers responded to reports of a man with a knife and arrested a 20-year-old Wyndham Vale man a short time later.

Police searched his vehicle and allegedly located a machete, knives, knuckledusters, and a firearm.
The man was taken into custody and has since been charged with several offences, including being a prohibited person possessing a firearm and being disguised with unlawful intent.
He will appear at court today.
