Homicide Squad detectives charged a 20-year-old Yarraville man and a 22-year-old Westmeadows man following a fatal shooting in Campbellfield on December 20, 2024.
Prosecutors last night alleged in court that a 60-year-old Craigieburn man was shot outside a property in Gentles Avenue around 10pm.
The victim of the alleged shooting died in hospital.
The two alleged offenders came to police attention after earlier being dropped off at a hospital with injuries.
The 20-year-old Yarraville man remains in hospital under police guard.
The 22-year-old Westmeadows man was last tonight charged with one count of murder and appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
The outcome of the hearing is not known.
