FRANKSTON, VIC. — Frankston Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire in Frankston on Thursday, September 24, after police officers and firefighters responded to reports of the blaze at a residential property on Stanley Street, Frankston, just before 5pm.
Fire Rescue Victoria confirmed that firefighters pulled a 51-year-old Frankston woman from the property, but unfortunately she could not be revived and sadly died.
No one else was inside the property at the time.

The circumstances of the fire are yet to be determined.
A joint FRV specialist fire investigation with the Victoria Police Arson Squad remains ongoing.
