VICTORIA. — A sergeant – that Victoria Police refuse to name – from the Western Region has been charged with misconduct in public office and sexual assault following an internal investigation.
The incidents occurred at locations Victoria Police refuse to disclose between August 2024 and August 2025 while the police officer was on duty in uniform.
He was charged on summons to appear before an unnamed Magistrates’ Court at an undisclosed date.
Victoria Police refused to provide further details on the matter.

It is not known if the officer has been stood down, with or without pay (placed on leave) or is still on duty today.
It is also not known why a police officer of senior rank was not detained in custody, like other offenders are.
