VICTORIA. — A 28-year-old Victoria Police constable from the Western Region has been charged with one count each of transmitting material using a carriage service – the material being child abuse material – and using a carriage service in a way that a reasonable person would regard as being, in all the circumstances, offensive, following a Professional Standards internal investigation.

It is alleged the incident occurred in January 2025 while the member was off duty.

He was charged today and summoned to appear before an undisclosed court at an undisclosed date.
