MONASH CITY COUNCIL, VIC. — United Energy will be carrying out essential electrical upgrade works on Kingsway in Glen Waverley next week.
The works will require parts of Kingsway to be disconnected from power, starting at 10pm on Thursday, September 17. Work will be completed overnight, and power should be restored by the morning of Friday, September 18.
Council’s multi-level Bogong car park will not be affected, with its 1000+ parking spaces available for visitors to Glen Waverley on Thursday evening.
Once power is disconnected, there will be no street lighting in sections of Kingsway. To ensure visitors to the area are safe, Monash City Council will install five temporary light towers along Kingsway.
The upgrade works will mean some overnight traffic impacts, but traffic controllers will be in place to safely guide vehicles and pedestrians around the works area.
Council Offices will be open for business at 8.30am on Friday, September 18.
Please remember the car park between Monash City Council’s offices and Ibis Glen Waverley is now closed. Use the multi-level car park in Bogong Avenue instead.
If residents have any questions relating to electricity supply, please contact United Energy on 1300 131 689 or visit www.unitedenergy.com.au.
