Police from the Banyule Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man following a burglary and assault in St Helena last week.
It is alleged a man entered a residential property on Glen Katherine Drive sometime before 2.50pm on Tuesday 29 January.
Two male residents were allegedly assaulted when they disturbed the man.
One of the residents sustained a cut to his arm.
Investigators today attended a Yarrambat address and arrested the man at 10am.
The 22-year-old, who was also wanted on a warrant, was interviewed and charged with burglary and assault.
The Yarrambat man is currently appearing at the Heidelberg Magistrates court tonight.
