Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a boy in Cobbannah yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to a campsite off Angusvale Track around midday after reports the boy had been seen in the river around 11.20am but had not been seen since.
A search was conducted and the 8-year-old boy was located deceased in the water about 2.50pm.
The investigation is ongoing.
