BALLIANG, VIC. — A woman has died following a three-vehicle collision in Balliang at about 5pm yesterday.
Emergency services responded to reports that a silver Holden sedan collided with a black Ford Escape utility on Bacchus Marsh Road, near the intersection with Granite Road.
Investigators believe the Holden then collided with a white Ford Ranger.
The driver of the Holden, a 70-year-old woman from Melton, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Sadly, she later died in hospital.
The passenger of the Holden, an 85-year-old Melton man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.
An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
