Colac Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal crash in Simpson early Sunday morning.
It is understood that a car crashed into several trees near Tomahawk Creek Road about 3.40am.
The yet-to-be formally identified male driver died at the scene.

A male passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are establishing the circumstances surrounding the crash.
