Benalla police yesterday (17 February) detected and intercepted a silver Audi sedan about 12.50pm allegedly travelling at 220km/h in the northbound lanes of the Hume Freeway near Benalla.
Police will allege the driver, a 19-year-old Maidstone man was travelling at 220km/h in a 110km/h zone.
His vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1625. He will be charged on summons with reckless conduct, speed dangerous and exceeding 110 km/h.
