HURSTBRIDGE.
During this school holiday period buses replace trains from 8:30pm on Friday, October 6 until Sunday, October 15 on the Hurstbridge line as part of the Government’s school holiday building blitz. Buses replace train services between Clifton Hill and Greensborough from 8.30pm on Friday, October 6 until the last service on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
Replacement buses will be a mixture of services:
- Service stopping all stations between Clifton Hill and Greensborough
- Limited-express service running express between Clifton Hill and Heidelberg, stopping all stations between Heidelberg and Greensborough
From first service on Monday, October 9 until the last service on Sunday, 15 October 15 buses replace train services between Clifton Hill and Macleod.
Train services between Greensborough and Hurstbridge stations will operate to an altered timetable.
Replacement buses will be a mixture of services:
- Service stopping all stations between Clifton Hill and Macleod
- Limited-express service running express between Clifton Hill and Heidelberg, stopping all stations between Heidelberg and Macleod
- Service running express between Victoria Park and Macleod stations (with trains operating normally between Victoria Park and Clifton Hill stations)
- Rosanna station closed October 6 to 12.
Journey times may increase by 45 minutes.
The South Morang line will also experience disruptions during the school holidays for maintenance works on structures and facilities, electrical networks and signalling.
Buses will replace train services between Clifton Hill and South Morang stations from 7.45pm until the last service each night from Sunday 24 September until Wednesday, 27 September 2017.
Journey times may increase by 30 minutes.
Normal train services resume from the first service on Monday, 16 October 2017.
