VICTORIA. — Moderate rainfall has been observed across Central Victoria overnight Thursday into Friday. Further moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast across parts of Gippsland, North East, Central, South West and North West Victoria from Friday into the weekend.

This rainfall has the potential to cause minor to isolated moderate flooding across the Flood Watch area from Friday and through the weekend.

Catchments across the Flood Watch area are moderately wet and may respond quickly to rainfall.

The location, intensity, and timing of this forecast rainfall is highly uncertain, and the rainfall focus may shift to other areas of the state as this event progresses.

  • Macalister River
  • Thomson River

  • Traralgon Creek
  • South Gippsland Rivers
  • Bunyip River and Dandenong Creek (Minor flood warning issued for the Bunyip River)
  • Yarra River upstream of Warrandyte
  • Barwon, Leigh and Moorabool Rivers
  • Otway Coast
  • Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta Rivers
  • Kiewa River
  • Ovens and King Rivers
  • Broken River
  • Seven and Castle Creeks
  • Goulburn River upstream of Lake Eildon
  • Goulburn River Eildon to Seymour
  • Goulburn River downstream of Seymour
  • Loddon River
  • Avoca River
